  • COVID-19 Update

     

    1. Bethlehem Baptist Church has re-opened for in-person worship. We will have one service at 10:00 am and you must register (RSVP) to attend worship. We are excited to gather inside again. The numbers to call and/or send a text to reserve a seat(s) is: Carolyn Demery (804) 389-0601 and Avis Winston (804) 334-4517. Members must confirm on the call that they understand the requirements that must be implemented when the church reopens.
    2. Church members are to arrive at the church at least (30) minutes before service starts to be processed by the nurses and seated safely by the ushers.
    3. Church members are to use one (1) single entrance to enter and exit the church.  This entrance is located at the parking lot side on the 1st floor.
    4. Upon arrival church members are to remain in their cars until they are signaled to come into the church by an usher.
    5. Church members must wear masks at all times and observe (6) feet social distancing while inside the church.
    6. Church members will be met inside by the nurses who will perform the following:
    • members will be asked COVID -19 screening questions. Sample of questions attached. Those with negative screens will proceed to have temperatures checked.
    • Additional masks and gloves will be available if required.
    • Automatic battery powered hand sanitizers will be located on the 1st floor near the nurses screening station and on the 2nd floor near the sanctuary entrance.
    1. Church members may take the elevator and/or stairs to the sanctuary.  Members must maintain six (6) feet social distancing in the elevator which safely allows two (2) individuals or family units at a time. Social distancing floor decal stickers will be posted on the elevator floor showing members where to stand.
    2. 6 ft social distancing must be maintained in the church vestibule.
    3. Hymnals, Bibles and fans are removed to minimize community sharing of materials.
    4.  Arranged seating protocol will be implemented. 
    1. Ushers to seat members by family units or single unit to designated pews.
    2. Members are to sit on every other pew.
